My favorite movie is Fast Five. It is intense when they steal the volt, which is a safe, when they steal all the money and they steal the cop cars and they teamed up with the cops . They switched out the safes and took all the money from Raez. Also they were on the run and they where wanted by the cops. This is the best Fast movie, along with the fourth one too.

Upcoming holidays!!! The next holiday I believe is mother’s day. I am a 17 year old male in Artec residential. I’ve been away from my mom and every one I love for six years. I grew up with no dad, so I get my mom a present every year. I don’t see her as much as I should, but I do this to show that I care and that I respect her. I also get her something for father’s day also, because she raised me and did all the stuff my dad should have done if I didn’t die right after my birth. I do all this to let her know, no matter what, I am here and trying to get back home ASAP. For me being a 17 year old male people might say stupid things about what I got to say, but I just don’t care cuz I know everyone has a soft spot and they do have someone they love. by Anthony J. the best (:
My favorite sports team is the San Fransico 49ers. They are my favorite because they do not back down, they show the other team what they'r made of. They are my favorite, because my uncle was a forty-niner trainer. When I grow up I want to try out for the 49ers. I will look up to them as a team that never backs down. By Jayden
Tony Hawks Skateboarding 2 is a really fun video game. I just like doing the tricks and then biffing it on a side ramp. I’m really good at this game. I got it when I was just 10. Tony Hawk has been skateboarding since he was 5 years old. You have to do tricks to earn pts.

Alice in Wonderland
I like this movie because it’ll expand your mind. I like how they made the movie realistic. I like Dinah the cat. I also like Dinah because he can disappear. I think that people should watch Alice in Wonderland, because it’s a great Movie. I give this movie five stars. By Isiah
I take care of the animals at the Humane Society by feeding them and giving them water.I also give them baths and clean their cages and walk them to get them exercise. We get them adopted so they can go to a good home. I like to go to the Humane Society so I can get exercise and the dogs can get exercise. So I can stay healthy. By Taren
Today I am going to write about the iPhone 5. I first got my iPhone in December and I was amazed. The iPhone 5 has the best graphic display a phone can offer, it is in HD and also has a huge screen. The battery life is really long so you can spend time texting and face booking on long boring car rides. The built in apps are cool too, they look great on the high definition screen. The only thing I don’t like about the iPhone 5 is that I don’t have it with me.

THE SANDLOT!! xD Last weekend, we watched The Sandlot. I really liked it. It was really funny and it was definitely a movie I would watch again. It is one of those movies that I could watch over and over again and laugh every time. The kids in the movie were cute and they each played really good parts. I recommend it to anyone that likes movies for kids. (:

Dear Artec People, I’m going to being interviewing one of my staff members, so be prepared for some information about him. The wonderful staff member that I decided to interview would be Steve. Steve enjoys watching sports and hiking. He is married and has been married for 5 years this year. The time was right when he met his wife and wanted to have children. He was 28 when he got married. Now 5 years later he’s got 3 wonderful kids, the youngest a new born almost a month old. The thing he loves most about his job is that every day is new and different. He also said that he can’t expect to come to work the next day and expect it to be the same. He also said new kids, new problems to help with. One of his biggest dreams he wants to accomplish before he dies is to walk from St. Monica to Washington D.C. All by foot, another thing he wants to have before he dies is to own his own farm, where he has his own cattle and to be able to grow his own vegetables. Steve’s favorite movie would be Dirty Work, he said it’s his favorite because he can never watch it and not laugh. Steve said he rarely gets mad so when he starts to get frustrated he goes on a walk to calm down. He also said that he is in control of his emotions. Steve went to Utah Valley Collage in Orem, 5 years ago. Thought it was a lot better than high school. He liked it better because it was on him to work to get things done, not the teachers. Also he didn’t get caught up in losing focus when he was having a good time. Steve also had a good childhood because he had a big family. He had 8 siblings, but one of them passed away before he was born. He said with the 7 sibling he did have he was in the middle so he had tons of kids to hang out with. Steve also believes that if you give respect to others then you shall receive that as well. Basically the golden rule, you treat others the way you want to be treated then you won’t have any problems. Couldn't get a picture of Steve so this is close enough.

The Life of Pie is a movie that talks about a boy that lost his family in a ship wreck. It was because of a rain storm that hit. The waves got bad and sunk the ship and he got on a boat. A zebra jumped off the deck and on to the boat. And then a tiger jumped on from the ocean and then it became day and the zebra was dying and a hyena killed it and then the tiger killed the hyena. And he has to learn how to live with it. I like this movie because it’s a good lesson on how you have to live with things when you don’t want to or don’t like them.

I am working on quitting smoking drugs and it is hard so I am trying to stay quit. I say drugs are stupid now, drugs are not worth the time in jail. You will spend more money than you make and you will be dependent on it. Drugs are no good for you, so many people die from drugs. So when someone gives you drugs say "no you can die from that". Mother’s day April 26th, 2012 By Ashley Nichole Coming up on May 12th, we all picture our beautiful mothers in our mind. Yet, here at Artec, some of us can’t be with our mothers on this special day. I know I wish I could, because my mom lives 1500 miles away, but I can make the best of it & so can everyone else. Call your mom and tell her how much you love her and how thankful you are to have such a great mom. I mean, obviously she cares about you if you were sent here, Artec is a place to get your life together and do better for yourself. That’s all your mom wants for you. Yes, all moms have made mistakes, but that certainly does not mean she doesn’t love you or she doesn’t care. It simply means that no one is perfect. I love my mom with all of my heart, even though she has made mistakes that might seem unforgivable. But you know what I’ve realized, that I’ve made bigger mistakes and that doesn’t stop her from loving me, or being there for me, or doing everything she can for me. All a mother wants is to know her child is safe and sound, so I would like to thank my mom. For caring enough to make sure I am safe and sound, and healthy, and sober, even when you are 1500 miles away. You’ve been there for me through almost everything, even when you’re in an entirely different state, you’ve always managed. Thank you. I love you Mom, happy early mother’s day. Don’t take your mom for granted; she’s the only one you’ll ever get.
My Artec news is on emo poems I think emo poems are very powerful they help me in lots of ways like when I cant talk to someone about how I feel writing down all my feelings on a peace of paper really help me cop with life an the decisions I make every day in life.
All of the writers inspire me with all their beautiful and creative poems some of the poems that they write keep them from having depression it changes lives and even I know it’s changed my life.
